Request account deletion
Use this page to delete your Step Champ account and associated data.
In-app deletion (recommended)
- Open Step Champ and sign in with the Google account you want to remove
- Go to Settings
- Tap Delete account and confirm
This removes your profile, synced step history, group memberships, groups you own, related competition data, and your Step Champ authentication identity.
Email fallback
If you cannot sign in to the app:
- Send an email to dota2yams@gmail.com
- Use the subject line:
Step Champ account deletion - Include the Google account email you used to sign in to Step Champ
We will verify the request and delete your account and associated data from our systems.
What we delete
When deletion is completed, we remove:
- Your account profile (name, email, and Google account identifier stored for Step Champ)
- Your synced step history
- Your group memberships and related leaderboard standings tied to your account
- Groups you solely own, where applicable
- Competitions you created
What may be retained temporarily
- Backup copies may remain for a short period (typically up to 30 days) before being purged from backups
- We may retain limited records if required by law or to resolve abuse, fraud, or security issues
Other ways to reduce data collection
- Sign out from Settings in the Step Champ app
- Revoke Health Connect / Apple Health permissions in your device settings at any time
